25/06/2008 :: The Norwegian Business Forum (NBF) has had regular meetings since it was constituted by the Ambassador of Norway to Bangladesh in May 2004. It is an informal forum for Norwegian companies in Bangladesh and Bangladeshi firms with ties to Norway. The objective of the NBF is to promote Norwegian trade and industry in Bangladesh. Considering the fact that promotion of Bangladeshi companies in Norway is an efficient way of drawing Norwegian companies' attention to Bangladesh, a two-way marketing is encouraged.
There have been various guest speakers at the meetings, such as the Executive Chairman of Board of Investment, Mr. Mahmudur Rahman, Former Minister of Commerce, Mr. Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury and Director of Dhaka International Trade Fair, Mr. S. M. Ashraful Islam.
