Norwegian Learning Concept Leading in Europe

Fronter – Europe’s largest distributor of digital learning platforms conquers European schools. The Norwegian company will become the main provider of digital educational platforms to London’s schools. The agreement with London Grid for Learning has potential of one million new users.

31/05/2007 :: ”We come from a country where we contributed to implement digital learning platforms in all universities, university colleges and high schools before the Millennium, which makes Norway a World Champion”, says chief executive, Roger Larsen. 

The Norwegian company has specialised in digital learning platforms for the public sector, especially within higher education. The platform consists of basic software with potential of local adjustments, where different services and workshop facilities could be added. The concept is already amongst the most popular in the Nordic region and Europe alike. It is used by more than two millions at 2,000 educational institutions throughout nine European countries (Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Spain, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and UK). 

Fronter’s nine years of experience have been credited three times with the European Seal of E-Excellence in Gold, an award often referred to as the Oscar of the IT-world. The London agreement signed at the British Embassy in Oslo on Tuesday 22 May, 2007 is a further recognition of the Norwegian product. 

“There are reasons to believe that the strong grounding in the Norwegian educational environment, our extensive experience as a distributor and the quality of our product is why London chose Fronter”, Larsen says.
