The Nordic celebration of the International Women's Day

Last updated: 19.03.2015 // The Embassies of the Nordic Countries, Denmark, Norway and Sweden celebrated the International Women’s Day together. A fair displaying the creativeness of Bangladeshi Women was organized, Dhaka Women's Chamber and artist Rokeya Sultana and her students exhibited their work. The Honorable Minister of Cultural Affairs, Mr. Asaduzzaman Noor inaugurated the fair, as the Chief guest, and Nritya Nandan and Roopbaan performed.

The objective of the fair was to share some of the results of the inventiveness and creativity of Bangladeshi women. The distinguished artist Rokeya Sultana and her students exhibited their work, and members of Dhaka Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry, led by President Naaz Farhana Ahmed, were present with different products and handicrafts. 

The celebration was enlivened by a dance performance by Nritya Nandan, under the direction of renowned dancer and choreographer Sharmila Banerjee, and by Roopbaan.
