Student Peace Prize

Last updated: 10/03/2010 // Nomination Council of the Student Peace Prize are searching for potential nominees for the Student Peace Prize. The prize is awarded to a student or a student organization who has made a particular effort to promote peace, democracy and human rights in a non-violent way.

 The winner will receive the prize during the International Student Festival in Trondheim (ISFiT) in February 2011. The Student Peace Prize has been handed out every two years since 1999. Previous Peace Prize winners come from East-Timor, Colombia, Burma, Zimbabwe and Western Sahara. The winner will be awarded NOK 50.000 and be included in a network of previous Peace Prize winners.

If you happen to know a student or a student organization who deserves the Prize, please send a nomination. Everyone is entitled to nominate candidates. The deadline for nominations is April 15, and the nomination should include name, country and a short description explaining why this person/organization deserves the prize.
