The winner will receive the prize during the International Student Festival in Trondheim (ISFiT) in February 2011. The Student Peace Prize has been handed out every two years since 1999. Previous Peace Prize winners come from East-Timor, Colombia, Burma, Zimbabwe and Western Sahara. The winner will be awarded NOK 50.000 and be included in a network of previous Peace Prize winners.

The deadline for nominations is April 15, and the nomination should include name, country and a short description explaining why this person/organization deserves the prize.
