PETRAD hereby invites National Oil Companies, Ministries and NGOs with Petroleum affiliation to apply for the programmes. We are pleased to forward to you Course Information & Application Procedure for the two 8-weeks Petroleum Management Programmes: "Petroleum Policy and Resource Management" and "Petroleum Development and Operations". The Programmes are conducted in Stavanger, Norway, during the period 20th September till 11th November 2010.
Admission to the programmes will be based on the following criteria:
• Professional Qualifications
Minimum professional qualifications are university degrees equal to Master or Bachelor levels and four to five years of relevant experience. Primary background;
- Law
- Petroleum Engineer
- Economy
- Geology
- Geophysicist
- And other type of engineering
• Language proficiency
Good working knowledge of the English language is necessary and most important. Applicants must document a good working knowledge of English by either:
1. Submitting documentation of their knowledge of English, or
2. Accept to be interviewed, as advised by PETR AD, or
3. Undergo one of the following tests: TOEFL – Test of English as a Foreign Language. Minimum score required: 500 or ELT S – English Language Testing Service (General section & general academic module) Minimum score required: 5.5
• Experience in using PCs
The applicant must be able to use a PC and the following applications: a word processor, a spreadsheet and a presentation tool (e.g. MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

PETRAD Scholarship
Own contribution PETRAD has a limited scholarship budget and encourages participants and their employers to finance participation by looking for alternative sources in their home country or elsewhere. Such sources could be international oil companies or other associated industry, international organisations like the World Bank or other international institutions, which provide funds for educational purposes, or national bilateral assistance programmes. Own contribution of a roundtrip airplane ticket is required from the employer of each participant entering the Programme on a PETRAD Scholarship.
