Norway and Bangladesh are engaged in various forms of educational and institutional collaboration.

Norgesskolen is open to children from 9 to 18 years of age from around the world. Students receive instruction in the Norwegian language, social studies and history in beautiful surroundings. On August 7th 2014 the Royal Norwegian Embassy attended the opening ceremony for new pupils at Martin Luther College (MLC) in Dhaka. The MediaClimate Network and Global Intermedia Dialogue Network, supported by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, hosted an international conference facilitating dialogue on the future challenges of journalism in covering climate change. Participants from 18 different countries discussed on the shared and differing challenges ahead in Cox’s Bazar on the 11th and 12th of January. Read more

A Norwegian-Bangladeshi cooperation project held a workshop on the crop water productivity modelling tool AquaCrop, benefitting both scientists and representatives from public bodies. Read more

The Norwegian Institute for Food, Fisheries and Aquaculture (NOFEMA) teams up with stakeholders from Bangladesh, India and Myanmar in order to speed up development of viable aquaculture and hilsa-fish breeding. Read more

In connection with the Norwegian-Bangladeshi project cooperation on climate change and rice production in Bangladesh the Embassy hosted a lunch meeting on September 13th.

How can Bangladesh adapt rice production to different climate change scenarios? This is what a new collaboration supported by the Embassy between the Norwegian organization Bioforsk and their bangladeshi partners Center for Environmental and Geographic Information Services (CEGIS) and Bangladesh Rice Research Institute (BRRI) is seeking to answer.
