In connection with the Norwegian-Bangladeshi project cooperation on climate change and rice production in Bangladesh the Embassy hosted a lunch meeting on September 13th.

How can Bangladesh adapt rice production to different climate change scenarios? This is what a new collaboration supported by the Embassy between the Norwegian organization Bioforsk and their bangladeshi partners Center for Environmental and Geographic Information Services (CEGIS) and Bangladesh Rice Research Institute (BRRI) is seeking to answer.

On the 27th of July Saima Hossain, one of the initiators of the global initiative on autism and public health together with her mother Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina came to visit the Norwegian Ambassador.

In Dhaka, the traffic constibutes less to the city's air pollution than in many Western cities. Today, almost 90 percent of all cars run on CNG.

The prelimenary results of three ongoing studies were the focus of attention when the first annual meeting of the research partnership between Norwegian institution Chr. Michelsen's Institute (CMI) and Center for Policy Dialogue (CPD) took place Sunday.

A collaboration between Bangladesh and Norway resulted in a biodiversity conference in Chittagong this January. “I’m confident that working together will contribute to better protection of wildlife and habitats and make a real impact on the ground”, said the Norwegian Ambassador.
