A three day exhibition was held at the Bengal Gallery of Fine Arts in cooperation with Ain O Shalish Kendra (ASK), showing paintings made by underprivileged children. The exhibition was titled “My Country”, reflecting the green and colorful beauty of Bangladesh. The paintings were nostalgic as many of the children originally are from villages but came to the city for working. The children are aged six to eighteen years, and work as garbage collectors, domestic helpers and shop assistances.
