The Norwegian, Swedish and Danish markets have increasingly become one market in various sectors, including foodstuffs and textiles. Additionally, the countries have a long tradition of promoting trade growth in developing countries, and these common traits have provided the basis for the cooperative efforts behind “Exporting to Scandinavia”.
The guide provides basic information about Scandinavia and its market and other relevant information for exporters and producers interested in expanding into this northern European market with 19 million consumers.
The guide is the result of two-year collaboration between the Scandinavian Import Promotion Offices funded by Norad, Sida and Danida, the Scandinavian agencies for development cooperation. The Scandinavian countries are committed to the UN goal of reducing poverty in developing countries by half by the year 2015. Through developing the private sector and increasing trade growth, one can achieve significant progress towards this goal.
